Bel & Bloom was born from love, creativity, and a daughter's desire to honour her mom.

Growing up, I watched my mom, Belinda, turn creativity into something meaningful. She loved making things with her hands, from pottery to homemade chocolates, and when times were tough, she would sell her creations to bring in a little extra income for our family. Those creative ventures helped pay for things like my brother's cricket and baseball tours, and taught me from a young age that creativity could be both a passion and a way of making a difference.

My mom was incredibly creative. She always had ideas for things she wanted to make and businesses she dreamed of starting. As our family became more financially comfortable, those creative projects slowly became less of a necessity, but the creative spirit never left her.

When I grew up, however, I took a different path.

I became a qualified attorney and later worked in Human Resources, building a career that kept me busy and focused on being the best professional I could be. Eventually, I moved into our family logistics business, where I work today.

Somewhere along the way, though, I realised that I had inherited something from my mom that I hadn't given much room to grow: a love for creating.

My mom always wanted to make candles, but it was the one creative dream she never got around to pursuing.

After she passed away, I found myself wanting to create something that would keep a little piece of her alive. So, I started making candles.

What began as a side project became Bel & Bloom Candles, a way for me to reconnect with the creative part of myself that I had put aside for so many years, while doing something in memory of the woman who inspired it.

The “Bel” in Bel & Bloom is for Belinda, my mom.

Every candle we create is therefore more than just a candle. It is a little reminder that creativity deserves space, dreams are worth pursuing, and the people we love can continue to inspire us long after they are gone.

Bel & Bloom is my way of honouring her dream, while finally nurturing a little piece of my own.
